Jimmy Garoppolo's 2017 Season Highlights that Got Him PAID💰💰 | NFL Highlights

Most eligible man in the NFL: 49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo, 26, Tom Brady's former backup gets largest five-year contract in NFL history at $137.5 MILLION

Tom Brady's former Patriots backup, Jimmy Garoppolo, just signed a record breaking five-year-contract with the San Francisco 49ers for an eye watering $137.5 million.

Garoppolo, 26, was acquired from the New England Patriots in October for a second-round pick. His new deal is guaranteed for $74 million, according to Matt Maiocco of the Bay Area's NBC affiliate, and will make Garoppolo the highest-paid player in the NFL next season.

He took over the starting job three weeks after being dealt and went on to complete 67.4 percent of his passes for 1,560 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions in five starts - all victories. In fact, Garoppolo is undefeated as a starter, having previously won two games in place of Brady during his 'Deflategate' suspension in 2016.

Garoppolo's been touted as having Hollywood good looks, and a blue collar upbringing, but his high school coach told the Mercury News his real secret.
